The purpose of L.I.G.H.T. is to provide an opportunity for our home schooled children to interact in a positive way with each other and with the world through field trips, holiday activities, and occasional get-togethers. It also provides an opportunity for the parents to encourage one another in our home schooling endeavors as we strive daily to raise our children to become more Christ-like and to educate them in the Truth.

Membership Requirements

• At least one child in grade K or above. Membership is not required to attend monthly meetings.
• Payment of membership dues. Annual dues to be determined at beginning of school year This will cover the cost of SETHSA membership, postage for mailings, and any other expenses incurred during the year that are not covered by individual members.
• Email address – the primary source of communication.

• Science Classes at the Houston Museum of Natural Science – monthly
• SETHSA Newsletter – monthly
• Mom’s Meetings / Night Out – monthly
• Coordination of SETHSA Activities
• Mom’s In Touch prayer ministry - weekly
• Scholastic Book Club
• Field trips
• A. D. Players plays and other local performances
• Share Night – an opportunity for the children to Share their talents!
