Inerrancy

We believe in the inerrancy of God’s Word, the Trinity, the sovereignty of God, the substitutionary atonement of Christ, His virgin birth, death and literal resurrection, His premillennial return, and the person and work of the Holy Spirit.

Salvation

We believe that salvation is a gift of God and is received by man only through personal faith in Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2: 8-10); a believer is secure in Christ forever, and is called to live a holy life.

Membership

Membership at NorthWest is open to those who have trusted Christ for their eternal life, who are in complete agreement with the Articles of Faith, who are willing to submit to the Elder leadership in the Church and who complete the Membership Class.

Communion

The following is part of our "Philosophy of Worship" relating to Communion. It is celebrated the first Sunday of every month in both our 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. worship services.

• We believe the ordinance of communion was given by Jesus Christ to His church as a way of remembering and proclaiming the sacrifice He made on the cross. It is an ordinance that contains an element of remembering and proclaiming Christ's death while at the same time looking forward to the time when we will enjoy communion with Christ in heaven.
• We will celebrate the ordinance of communion on a regular basis at NorthWest Bible Church which currently happens to be on the first Sunday of the month.
• We will also celebrate communion at several special services during the year as the Lord leads.
• We believe that communion involves solemn and serious self-examination. This includes confession of sin and repentance. Communion should not be received in a flippant or careless manner.
