Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed
AWANA is a Bible-centered, youth-oriented weekday club program organized and controlled by the local church. Founded in 1950, AWANA Clubs International now serves over 12,000 churches in over 110 countries around the world. The goal of AWANA is to reach boys and girls with the Gospel of Christ and to train them to serve Him. WhoWe serve the following age/grade groups: We group boys and girls separately by grade and handbook.
WhenClubs meet Wednesday nights, September through April, 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm.
What Every club meeting includes Game Time gets every child involved through AWANA circle games as well as playground favorites, allowing them to expend some energy. Handbook Time – Children work with a trained leader to complete sections in their handbooks. A series of awards and trophies reward achievements at every level as children progress. Council Time gathers the children for singing, a practical Bible message, announcements, and award distribution.
In addition to the regular meetings, AWANA includes special events such as Grand Prix, Bible Quiz, Sparks-a-rama, Games (olympics), campouts and overnights.
