The Lord directed Mary and her family to Northwest Bible Church in 1993. Since that time, Mary and her husband, Tom, have served in various volunteer positions. She has counted it a true privilege to serve in both the Women’s and Children's Ministry. She knew the joy of being a "Mentor Mom" for three years. Mary joined the staff, on a part-time basis, in June of 2006 when God opened a door for her as Early Childhood Director. After serving in that capacity for almost a year, God further expanded the call and she began working full time in March of 2007 as Director of Children’s Ministry. Having raised two sons, Nathan and Jason, she has now chosen to invest in the lives of the children who come through the doors of NWBC. Mary's husband, Tom, is an elder at the church and is always willing to offer a helping hand in the Children’s Ministry. In her own words: "Children have always been a joy in my life and working with teachers who point them to Jesus is so very satisfying. NorthWest Bible Church is blessed with a dedicated, fun loving, joy-filled group of individuals who love the children as much as I do." "Although I have much to learn, being so new to this position, I have gotten my feet wet planning special events for teachers and volunteer staff." "My desire is that children come to know Jesus as Savior and Lord of their life. That when they are in church, they will feel His love through us as we strive to reflect Him. A verse I like to keep in mind is, 'Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight'" (Proverbs 3:5-6). "I enjoy playing video games with my two grown sons (all night sometimes!). I also love hiking in the Colorado mountains with my husband, Tom."
