Sheri Helms - Between Jobs Support

Sheri's voice is usually the first one you will hear when you call NorthWest Bible Church. Her sweet smiling face is probably the first one you see when you visit our office. She sits at the front desk and helps, with her gentle and quiet spirit, everyone she encounters, whether in person or on the phone.

Sheri has served as the Between Jobs Ministry Assistant since March 2005. In addition to answering the phones, she fields inquiries from both job seekers and employers throughout the week, oversees the BJM resource room, and does all it takes to get ready for our weekly BJM meetings. Prior to joining the staff at NWBC, Sheri volunteered in many areas of the church while enjoying her role as a stay-at-home mom. She has been happy to call NWBC her church home since moving to Spring in 1992.

Sheri grew up in Wisconsin and graduated from Stratton College in Milwaukee. She is an avid sports fan, and while she'll aways be a "Cheesehead" at heart (Go, Pack, Go!), she now enthusiastically supports all her Houston teams. (Go, 'Stros!) She has three children - Shawn, Erin and Jason.

In her own words: "I feel so blessed to be a part of all the wonderful things God is doing through BJM. It is my privilege to be able to help people during what can be a difficult and stressful time in their lives. I love being a part of the NWBC staff– as I always tell people, I couldn't ask for a better to place to work, or better people to work with!"
