Mike Stripling - Business Administration

Mike joined the staff at NorhtWest Bible Church in August of 2000 and has served in various leadership capacities since then. He is currently the Pastor of Business Administration. This means he is responsible for the financial activities of the church, facilities use, maintenance, repair, as well as setup and cleaning.

Mike doesn't just take care of the physical side of things around here. He also ministers to the spiritual needs of those who call NWBC home. He oversees our evangelism outreach ministries, coordinates our membership classes, and teaches our largest Adult Sunday School class.

He was born in Fayette, Alabama and is married to the former Fay Watts of Jacksonville, Alabama. Fay serves as Ministry Assistant at Oak Ridge Baptist Church. Together they have two adult children: Michelle (works at YMCA) is married to Andy Hill (Associate Pastor at Spring Baptist Church) and Jay who is married to Angela King (Jay and Angela both work at energy companies in Houston).

Mike and Fay have twin grandchildren: Abigail and Graham Hill

Mike is a graduate of West Alabama University – Business/Accounting. He went to college on an athletic scholarship. He logged thirty years of financial experience in the secular world and then served two years on the staff of Oak Ridge Baptist Church as Pastor of Adult Education. He is a former member of the Gideon’s International and is a current Member of National Association of Church Business Administration (NACBA).

He was ordained a Deacon at Parkview Baptist Church, Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He is a trainer for both EvanTell “You Can Tell It” and Evangelism Explosion (EE).

In his own words: "I enjoy reading biblical and non-fiction materials, teaching Bible study classes, playing with grand-twins, hanging out with Fay, and encouraging others in evangelism."
