NWBC's Newest Women's Ministry
Although HeartLinks is a new women's ministry, beginning this Fall, it is a ministry that each of us, as women, have done our entire lives. We have been meeting one-on-one with each other, sharing our lives, praying for each other, laughing together, crying together, watching our families grow, and walking together with Jesus. It just seems that in this fast paced life that we live in today, we sometimes need a little help in being friends linked together in the bonds of friendship with Christ as our foundation.
HeartLinks is a ministry designed to link hearts together with Jesus at the core. It is a ministry between older and younger woman based on Titus 2:3-5 and I Thess. 2:8. As a part of this ministry, older women (a Naomi) will be paired with a younger woman (a Ruth) to commit to spend time with each other through prayer, Bible study, meeting for lunch, or whatever ways that fit into their particular schedules, October through April.
The HeartLinks team has been in prayer since this past Spring for the women who will participate in this ministry. Women will be paired through prayerful consideration by the HearthLinks team, looking at characteristics they have in common, and thru the leadings of the Holy Spirit. Participants are asked to fill out a profile sheet that will be used to assign the HeartLink pairs. Registration can be done online or on Sundays between services. Mark your calendars for the HeartLinks Brunch on Saturday, September 29 at 9-11 am to kick-off this new exciting ministry.
