Q: Do I need to pre-register?

A: Pre-registering is helpful, but is not required. Pre-register by providing the info below by 3:00 pm the Tuesday before the Wednesday meeting:

Pre-register online, call the church office at 281.376.1110 or fax to 281.376.4767. If you are not able to pre-register, you may come to the meeting and register at the door.

Q: How should I dress and what should I bring?

A: Dress is business casual. During our networking segment you will be asked to tell about yourself and what you are looking for in a "30 Second Commercial" so you might think about key things to say. If possible please bring any company contacts you have that might be useful to others for our networking session as well as a couple of target companies where you'd like to get contacts. Also, you should bring your resume, a pen and a note pad to take notes. Everything else is provided, including refreshments.

Q: What will I get out of the meeting?

A: You will receive much encouragement, have many networking opportunities, and after attending the orientation session, be given an invitation to join our Yahoo groups job site created exclusively for the BJM at NorthWest Bible Church. This site provides updates on job postings regularly. Also, as part of the ministry, there are many breakout sessions on such topics as "Networking 101," "Interviewing for Success," "Creating Cover Letters," "Working With a Recruiter," etc. You will have an opportunity to view our job postings boards. Also, we have seven computers with internet access in our BJM Resource Room for participants to use to work on job related items, such as resumes and business cards. Card stock and directions for creating business cards are provided.

Q: Where is NorthWest Bible Church located?

A: NorthWest Bible Church is located in north Harris County, just south of the Woodlands. Our physical address is 5503 Fellowship Lane in Spring, Texas 77379. View further directions and a map.

Q: How do I join the BJM Yahoo Group so that I can receive job leads by email?

A: Membership in the Between Jobs Ministry Yahoo Group is by invitation only. Everyone who attends the BJM orientation session will be given instructions on becoming a member of this Yahoo Group.

Q: When are the meetings? What time should I arrive?

A: Meetings are on Wednesday mornings (exceptions: we do not meet on/near major holidays, during Vacation Bible School in June, and during "Rec Week" in August). First time participants should arrive by 8:45 am to check in and receive orientation materials. The meeting starts promptly at 9:00 am.

Q: Where do I go when I arrive?

A: Enter the front doors of the Worship Center (the large building to the far right of the campus). Just follow the signs for "First-Timers." Check in with the greeters at the front tables.

Q: I am an employer/recruiter. How do I post job leads with Between Jobs Ministry?

A: Employers and recruiters are welcome to post their active job leads with our BJM group. Please refer to the page "For Employers And Recruiters" for job posting instructions and guidelines.
