Helping students grow and fellowship in Christ.
The student ministry of NorthWest Bible Church strives to place these 7 things of utmost importance...
...that we would be Christ centered
...that we would be Outreach minded
...that we would seek to Making disciples
...that we would Pray continually
...that we would pursue Authentic relationships
...that we would teach and live Spiritual disciplines
...that we would have Servant's hearts
We desire to meet students where they are in their relationship with Christ and help them to mature in their faith so they will be fully equipped to live for Him.
What We Provide
- Clear Bible Truth
- Context for growth in Christ and healthy relationships to flourish
- Caring adult role models and mentors
Our Priorities
Christ centered. Col. 1:15-20; John 10:10; 14:6
- He is the head of the body, the church. We acknowledge Him as such.
- He is the source of abundant life.
- He is our exclusive means to access the Father.
- Our collective goal here is to simply follow Him.
Outreach minded. Matt. 28:19; Rom. 10:14-15; Col. 4:5-6; Matt. 9:35-38
- We reach the lost world with the gospel message.
- We are all sent to preach the good news of Jesus Christ.
- We are full of grace and make the most of the opportunities God gives us.
- We have compassion; we join the harvest workers.
Making Disciples. Matt. 28:19; Eph. 4:12; 1 Thess. 2:11-12
- We don't accept discipleship as optional.
- We prepare students as God's people and build up the body.
- We encourage students to live lives worthy of God.
Prayer. 1 Thess. 5:17; John 14:13-14; Eph. 6:18; Jer. 33:3
- We pray continually.
- We have faith that God answers prayer and is able to intervene.
- We pray for the students, their families, and all believers.
- God is the source of unsearchable wisdom.
Authentic Relationships. 2 Cor. 5:14-17; 1 Thess. 2:8; John 13:34-35
- Christ' love compels us to love students and each other.
- We share our lives with each other.
- The world will know us as disciples because of our love for one another.
Spiritual Disciplines. 2 Tim. 3:16-17; Rom. 12:1-2; Matt. 16:24-26; 1 Pt. 1:15-16
- Knowing Scripture is of the utmost importance; it is foundational.
- We are living sacrifices and not conformed to the world.
- We deny ourselves in order to follow Christ.
- We view ourselves as holy.
Servant Heart. Mark 10:43-45; Phil. 2:3-5; Gal. 5:13
- If we are to be first, we are to be slave of all.
- We have an attitude of humility.
- We serve one another in love.
