Dear Friend,
This is an exciting time in the life of NorthWest Bible Church because God has been doing great things in our lives as well as given us multiple opportunities to impact those around us. Whether it is through pastoral care, children's ministry, our many Bible studies during the year for our men and women, our dynamic student ministries, growing nursery, our Sunday schools, our expanding missions support, our wonderful music programs, or any of the other ministries the Lord has entrusted us with, God is doing great things in and through our fellowship.
I am very excited about our efforts to "equip the saints for the work of the ministry" as taught in Ephesians 4:12. I am seeing more and more of our people stepping up to serve in the areas of their passion, giftedness, and calling.
To me, we are well on our way toward spiritual health and attractiveness.
It is now time to turn our attention to the physical health and attractiveness of our church. I am talking about the many aspects of the facilities and campus that make up NorthWest Bible Church. While our long term plan includes additional parking, a new worship center, and a new education building for our children (not necessarily in that order), there are some things we need to do by way of a "first step."
This webpage contains important information about "Project First Step." It describes the various physical needs and challenges we have as well as the cost of meeting those needs.
I feel very strongly that if we were to update our campus and facilities with more classroom space, better sound equipment, improved audio-visual technology, an outdoor baptistery and garden, and a little bit of paint, we would be taking a very necessary "first step" toward improving the physical health and attractiveness of our church.
But it cannot happen without you! Please prayerfully consider generously giving above and beyond your normal giving in order to make this "first step" a reality.
Together, we can move forward in our effort to be a church that is both spiritually and physically healthy and attractive.
In Christ,
John R. Wayland Click the link to hear Pastor John Wayland's presentation of Project First Step to the congregation.
